Zama Ndamase
Zama Ndamase was a stoked surfer who represented Border a number of times, most recently at the SA Junior Champs in Cape Town in October 2010. His atitude and ability, both in and out of the water, earned him a SSA Surfing Scholarship. A shark killed Zama yesterday morning, while he was surfing with his brother, Avuyile, in Port St Johns.
A tragedy for his family and friends, and long time coach, Mike Gatke. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them. Surfers are contributing for a grief counselor to assist the locals who knew and surfed with him.
Zama was 17.
