Fake Elephant escapes on unicycle

OK -so these random okes had a brainstorm about shooting a music video, and someone mentioned a unicycle, and dressing up as an elephant in jail and jumping on the London Underground, scoring a trip to Cape Town, and finding 3 other okes in elephant suits playing music in the Karoo...and the secretary said "sorry, Mr Smith can't take your call - he's in a meeting" - so then he says he's Chris from Coldplay and everyone said - smashing - lets throw money at it and make it happen.
I've got a plan to wear a gorilla suit in Bali and I'm Jimi Hendrix ghost...

Saw this last night for the first time...Riaan rocks!! For me, Riaan always trumped a tag trio of the Hoff, Chuck Norris and Conway Twitty - and now he's streaking ahead. Thats one massive leap for the aliens - go you viper tounged body morpher go!!

Shark circles butchery

During the recent Queensland floods, Steve, the local butcher upstream from Brisbane had to lock and leave the shop, escaping just in time to miss the water coming through the door. Couldn't get all the meat out though. This attracted a bull shark, which tried to get through for a bite... unable to get through the lock, it swam across to the local Macdonalds, waiting at the drive through between 2 dolphins and a turtle...true story- bing it!

You won't believe it - in fact I don't even believe the crazy, surreal evening that just happened... Freekin oyerish - gotta luv em...! Petit Pois - great name for an Irish Restaurant Mark,  the artist, runs in Wakkerstroom. Down a dirt road - dusty like Baghdad cafe - crackling half a light rope dangles as a sign to the last chance meal - if you can cook! Waves us in, as we crunched slowly past, thrust into a dervish evening that smeared itself across our cranium- whats just happened? More to follow...

Quite a short guy with shoes that match his blue top walked through the International arrivals hall the other day. He had a black beanie and was one of the thousands who landed and continued onward to have a light snack and something cold to drink. Millions of people felt this was relevant.

Leopards, Porcupines and goats...

Being in touch with nature is part of living in Noordhoek... Neighbourhood watch is enlightening. Foraging porcupines rustle indignantly as you drive slowly past. With Leopard Toads starting their migration this month, we have the twin challenges of not squashing them in the road, as well as avoiding the 'ToadNuts'. They're a band of sodden conservationists, up everynight in the rain, helping the little froggies cross to the other side. They're generally hunched in the middle of the road, coaxing one last leap out of their toad.

And then there're the Deep South Dance classes for goats, which have taken off in a big way...

The photo that caused the panic...and me to sing the final verses of "summer of 69' in a holding cell outside the arena.
An 8 foot camouflaged security guard, with a complexion particularly suited to the low light environment in which he worked, gave me a purgative touch after I took this shot with my vintage camera. Luckily Rocky spotted me and offered assistance, which was bold, as he was staring at Igors navel...'go ahead kid - blow me away!'
As I was shepherded out through the happy throng, I couldn't help but notice the mass of 5 megapixel cellphones...
Ended well, got my camera back - and a great concert!
 And Igor was just doing his job - cool oke...in fact ice cool, like an assassin...
