Leopards, Porcupines and goats...

Being in touch with nature is part of living in Noordhoek... Neighbourhood watch is enlightening. Foraging porcupines rustle indignantly as you drive slowly past. With Leopard Toads starting their migration this month, we have the twin challenges of not squashing them in the road, as well as avoiding the 'ToadNuts'. They're a band of sodden conservationists, up everynight in the rain, helping the little froggies cross to the other side. They're generally hunched in the middle of the road, coaxing one last leap out of their toad.
And then there're the Deep South Dance classes for goats, which have taken off in a big way...
