Call me smug, but our Cape Town is showing the way. The streets have got a vibe. Turn up a sidestreet, that happens to be clean and different music and languages mix. OK, so I'm walking from the station cos the parking fees are crazy, but at least you can get to a place when you need to. More coffee stops than are healthy, a range of sizzling street food and cuttlebustling restaurants, old bars and new clubs, live music and furniture shops with cheap speakers blaring. Could be more busking and less by-laws - but we're getting it right.
