We're busy checking out guidebooks for a holiday next year - the biggest thing I try to avoid is a package tour, to find a gem off the beaten track, normally its tough and I get skunked, but it's worth the effort...I'm sure there must be hundreds hoping to do a similar thing on their tour of Cape Town - so heres the inside scoop - jazz from 4pm on a Sunday afternoon at the Polana - on a big swell day, the sea smashes through the windows and destroys the bar - thats how close you are - feels like you're on a cruise ship. Music, food, views, great wine and good company - and a few spare tables at the moment - grab one before the word gets out.
