Hessequa Hotel

Old Hotel on the first ox wagon trail through the Hessequa ( Khoi for people of the trees), connecting Mossel bay and Oudtshoorn.
It was the only way to get through to the Klein Karoo from there - Wilderness was too mountainous, with many rivers.
After a long day on the trail, Gin and tonic, give the oxen a breather and running repairs to the wagon.
A quieter time, save for the lions at sunset...
