Springtide Paella

Full moons setting across the Atlantic, and we've got the biggest tidal range of the entire year. Spring Low tide is at 10:47 this morning - last time something like this happened, tons of crayfish left the water at Elands Bay. This morning, divers noticed irregular crustacean activity off Kommetjie, and emergency services have arrived to block the drains. Crabs, crayfish and prawns are anticipated to do a mass walkout on the dead low tide, with the streets unpassable due to the seething mass of sealife. Residents are asked to remain calm, and keep them in a bath until the tide comes back in. Kommetjie was recently in the news with a mass stranding of false killer whales last year.
