When about 1000 of my closest cruise mates hit the beach on the Portuguese Islands, this little starfish was up on the dry sand after the sea had left it behind. I'm sure it would have hung in there till the next tide, but with so many of us running around, it could have been squished - so back into the water it went. Hope I did the right thing... but at least Spandex, the leggy starfish has got its moment of fame.
