Just got back from the Seli 1 - the Tanker thats run aground off Tableview. I think I finally lost it during the surf report, seriously bummed at yet another boat aground - don't they learn from the last one - at least I didn't lose the boat.
Big swell, strong Westerly wind - keep the engines idling, more anchors and someone competent on watch - not rocket science!
But the coolest thing - the guys were surfing right in front of it - our salvors are doing a brilliant job of offloading the oil without spillage. Clean beaches, clean penguins, clean surfers - Saffers to the rescue again! Now lets get rid of the boat - unless the Turkish crew were looking for beachfront property close to the Stadium for 2010...
